Step-by-Step
STEP 1 — Heat the pan
Heat a non-stick frying pan (Ø ~20cm) over high heat. No oil, butter or water needed.
STEP 2 — Pour the tapioca
Once hot, pour the contents of one pack into the pan. Use a spoon to spread it evenly until it forms a round disc. Reduce heat to medium.
STEP 3 — Cook & Flip
Cook for about 1 minute, the grains will bind, and edges start to lift. Flip and cook the other side for a few more seconds.
STEP 4 — Fill & Fold
Add your filling — cheese, fruit, vegetables, or whatever you like. Fold in half. Warm the filling briefly, or cover with a lid for extra softness.

Tips & tricks to master your tapioca
Smart tips for perfect results.
Make it softer, crispier, or more flavourful. Just the way you like it.
PAN & HEAT
- A small, non-stick frying pan makes a difference. A pan with ~20cm diameter fits well a 70g-pack and makes a better shape.
- No oil, butter, or water needed.
- Heat up the pan before you pour your pack. A hot pan helps to bind it in a disc form.
- To check if the pan is hot enough, you can sprinkle a small amount of the tapioca. It should sizzle and jump in few seconds.
START BETTER
- Once you pour the tapioca, don’t forget to reduce the heat.
- Use a spoon or spatula to spread the tapioca evenly into a round disc.
- Avoid cracks or holes. It makes flipping easier and keeps it soft.
FLIPPING MOMENT
- Cook for about 1–2 minutes before flipping. The time to flip is when the edges lift and the whole disc moves easily.
- Tapioca does not change its white colour. Do not wait for a colour change to flip it.
- Add your filling right after flipping to help it melt or warm up. Cook it for another minute.
PERFECT RESULTS
- Fold it in half and lower or remove from the heat to keep it soft. Too much heat can dry out your tapioca.
- Keeping it longer on the heat will make your tapioca crispier — but also dryer. Some may like it but it’s good to know.
- Cover the pan for a few seconds while the filling warms. It creates a steam effect.
- To avoid overcooking, keep it in low heat or out of it while it completes melting.
STORAGE
- Keep unopened sachets at room temperature.
- Once opened, store in the fridge and use within a few days. Avoid exposure to air, seal it with a clip or store in an airtight container.
- Do not salt opened sachets, as it dries the starch. If you like savoury, add a pinch of salt while cooking or after filling.
